Whether you are serious about looking for a home or just browsing, there are 3 things you should know about Zillow before beginning/continuing  your search.

1. How Is Your Information Handled?

Have you ever wondered why you get calls from realtors after searching for homes on Zillow? That's because Zillow makes money from selling your information to real estate agents.

2. Are The Listings Updated?

The listings on Zillow are not always updated. Some of the homes you are looking at may already be under contract. This can be very frustrating if you are a serious buyer with a moving date time constraint.

3. Delays On Listing Alerts

Zillow does not provide real time listing alerts. In a HOT market where homes are always changing from active to under contract, it can be detrimental for a buyer to see new listings as soon as possible! By the time you get a Zillow listing alert that listing may have already spent days on the market.

Bottom Line:

Listing alerts from the MLS are still your best source of information. As your agent we can set you up through our MLS to receive up-to-date listing alerts, you can even get access to listings that are not yet on the market!
